Guy Boomer

I’m the Director of the Hose Technology PBU at ERIKS UK & Ireland, where I set the strategic direction and support a multidisciplinary team across sales, production, and service delivery. With over 20 years’ experience in engineering, project management, and commercial leadership, I’ve worked globally with MRO, OEM, and EPC clients on complex CAPEX projects -particularly within pressure protection systems, subsea HIPPS, static sealing, mechanical filtration, and homogenization.

Since joining ERIKS in 2022 as Commercial Manager for the Flow PBU, I’ve driven both commercial wins and operational improvements - most notably securing a major valve contract in the Middle East worth 25% of the company’s annual turnover, and cutting cost-of-poor-quality in sales by over 80% through process automation and a structured stage-and-gate framework.

Earlier in my career, I led the installation of a large-scale vacuum waste system at New Doha International Airport and developed sales engineering tools that tripled quote turnaround speed. Across every role, I’ve been driven by a passion for performance improvement and empowering teams.

My leadership approach is open, empathetic, and growth-focused. I spend time coaching individuals not just on technical excellence but also on the soft skills needed to lead and collaborate. While I’m often recognised for my commercial acumen and strategic mindset, what matters most to me is being seen as a mentor - someone who helps others succeed and thrive.

Today, my focus is on reinforcing ERIKS’ position as a trusted partner through service innovation and by building a high-performing, empowered team within the Hose Technology PBU.
