When Rubix carried out a routine site visit at a leading UK premium snack manufacturer, our engineering specialists identified a major opportunity to reduce compressed air consumption across the potato handling process. A detailed compressed air audit revealed that continuously running air jets were costing the business over £205,000 per year in unnecessary energy spend.

By applying intelligent pneumatic process optimisation and sensor‑based control solutions, Rubix demonstrated how compressed air could be used only when required—transforming a always‑on system into a responsive, demand‑driven process. With a projected payback period of under 12 months, the project highlights how expert engineering insight can deliver rapid ROI, improved process control and significant reductions in energy waste for food and beverage manufacturers.

How forensic engineering turned a generator breakdown into a long-term asset strategy

Saving: £87k per generator turbine, £2.26m across the farm

Some failures announce themselves loudly. Others hide in plain sight, quietly developing until one day a machine that looked perfectly healthy suddenly isn’t. When a 2.3 MW wind turbine generator failed at a UK offshore wind farm operated by a leading renewable energy operator, it fell firmly into the second category.

Legal name change to Rubix Industrial Services

ERIKS Industrial Services, which covers the UK & Ireland operations, has formally changed its legal name to Rubix Industrial Services. This change has been implemented at pace as part of the legal agreement with ERIKS Group for the transition of ERIKS Industrial Services to the Rubix Group. This is a name change only — we remain the same legal entity, with the same company registration, contracts and agreements in place.

During the transition, you may see two Rubix trading companies in the UK: Rubix Industrial Services (formerly ERIKS UK & Ireland) and Rubix UK Limited. These will come together in the near future as we progress the integration into one Rubix organisation for the UK.

We will always make clear which entity you are trading with, and there is no change to how we operate or support you.
